About Our Roles in Investment Banking
Investment Banking provides broad-based, global service with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, and equity, debt and highyield financings. Investment Banking encompasses two areas: Industry Coverage Investment Banking and the Financing Group. Job Responsibilities
The Junior Analyst (Seasonal Intern) position offers a rewarding learning opportunity for undergraduates to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become integral members of Goldman Sachs’ project and client teams. Junior Analysts participate in many aspects of financial transactions, mainly in Latin America. They also gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry.
Within this environment, ideas are continuously shared and creative thinking and individual initiative are encouraged. Working with teams of professionals at all levels who serve as both instructors and mentors, junior analysts develop important analytical and communication skills by participating in various transactions across a wide range of companies and industries.
Typical responsibilities include developing models, gathering and analyzing data to understand industry trends and to value companies, preparing presentations and memoranda for clients, and participating in client meetings and internal presentations.
Basic Qualifications
Business proficiency in English and Spanish
A keen, long-term interest in investment banking
Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
Strong quantitative and technical abilities
An outstanding academic record (recommended course work in finance, economics and accounting)
Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
