Internship Program January 2026 - Investment Banking Itaú Chile

En Itaú buscamos un estudiante universitario para incorporarse como practicante al equipo de Investment Banking basado en nuestra oficina de Santiago, por un periodo de 6 meses comenzando la primera semana de enero 2026.

El cargo presenta la oportunidad de integrarse a uno de los bancos líderes en transacciones de Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) y Equity Capital Markets (“ECM”) de Latinoamérica, y la posibilidad de tener exposición a clientes locales e internacionales de índole estratégica y financiera.

Responsabilidades del cargo:

  • La función del practicante es apoyar principalmente a los analistas y asociados en el día a día, tanto en la preparación de materiales de originación, como en las distintas ejecuciones de M&A y ECM en las que el equipo esté involucrado

  • Desarrollo de análisis de industria, con énfasis en los fundamentos financieros y estratégicos, los participantes clave y la regulación

  • Valoración de compañías bajo distintas metodologías

  • Preparación de documentos de transacción (i.e. Teasers, Information Memorandums, Offering Memorandums, Prospectos de Colocaciones, etc.)

  • Preparación de pitches de diversas industrias

  • ⁠Preparación de presentaciones e informes para clientes durante la ejecución de transacciones

  • Participación en reuniones y videoconferencias con clientes y equipos regionales

Requisitos básicos:

  • Estar cursando la universidad

  • Preferencia por Ingeniería Civil o Ingeniería Comercial PUC y FEN (extranjeros se analiza caso a caso)

  • Excelente desempeño académico

  • Disponibilidad por un mínimo de 6 meses

  • Inglés avanzado (hablado y escrito)

  • Manejo de Excel y PowerPoint avanzado

Job Description

The Internship Program is a rewarding experience for undergraduates. By working alongside Goldman Sachs professionals, interns learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become integral members of Goldman Sachs' project and client teams.

The program has an emphasis on learning on the job, working alongside other members of the team in ongoing projects. As the program evolves, interns have the opportunity to be part of various transactions in a wide range of industries. Through this, interns quickly develop proficiency and participate in many aspects of financial transactions. Interns are involved with teams of professionals at all levels who serve as both instructors and mentors. Within this environment, ideas are continuously shared and creative thinking and individual initiatives are encouraged.

Interns will gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry while developing important analytical and communication skills. Program will range from December - February.

Requirements

  • Experience: 0 years (Estudiantes de 4to y 5to año de Ingeniería Comercial, Ingeniería Civil o carreras a fin)

  • Languages: Spanish and English

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Business proficiency in English and Spanish

    • A keen, long-term interest in investment banking

    • Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills

    • Strong quantitative and technical abilities

    • An outstanding academic record (recommended course work in finance, economics and accounting)

    • Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities

    • Strong verbal and written communications skills

    • Effective team-working abilities

Job Description

The Junior Analyst (Seasonal Intern) position offers a rewarding learning opportunity for undergraduates to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become integral members of Goldman Sachs’ project and client teams.

Junior Analysts participate in many aspects of financial transactions, mainly in Latin America. They also gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry. Within this environment, ideas are continuously shared and creative thinking and individual initiative are encouraged. Working with teams of professionals at all levels who serve as both instructors and mentors, junior analysts develop important analytical and communication skills by participating in various transactions across a wide range of companies and industries.

Typical responsibilities include developing models, gathering and analyzing data to understand industry trends and to value companies, preparing presentations and memoranda for clients, and participating in client meetings and internal presentations.
