JP Morgan - Finance Legal Entity Controller Intern

In this opportunity the Legal Entity Controller team is looking a new intern. 

As a LEC Intern you will have the opportunity to develop professional skills through various trainings and coaching, and also you will support the team on Chilean entities (4) financial statements, capital adequacy, liquidity, credit and market risk controls and regulatory reporting related to all these topics, helping to ensure that accounting and regulatory reports are in compliance with local and corporate requirements.

Job responsibilities:

  1. Performs activities regarding accounting, financial statements, and regulatory reports preparation, that are generated for each legal entity (4) for corporate and local effects

  2. Helps generating regulatory metrics and reports.

  3. Monitors regulatory limits required by the local regulator (CMF)

  4. Helps in validating integrity of local and corporate financial statements for each of the Chilean legal entities and validating reconciliation between SAP and product systems.

  5. Helps generating and validating integrity of local regulatory reports.

  6. Participate in the implementation of Chile office projects (new systems, regulations, etc.) or new products.

  7. Helps the team generating reports and analyze financial statements and Risk indicators by each legal entities, that supports the decision-making process performed by senior management.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Graduated student in Industrial/Civil Engineering, Finance or Accounting.

  • Knowledge in financial products (focus on derivatives) is a plus.

  • Fluid English.

  • Excel (macros), SQL, phyton or similar.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills as the role requires frequent interaction with Front Office and other groups.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively to meet tight deadlines.

  • Able to work under pressure.

  • Pro-active and willing to accept responsibility.

In this opportunity the Payments Sales team is looking a new intern.

As a Payments Sales Intern you will have the opportunity to develop professional skills through various trainings and coaching and you will play an integral role in developing cash management, liquidity & trade solutions for the Financial Institutions along the Southern Cone. The main objective of the trainee program is to potentiate the candidate’s skills and abilities in order to become part of our firm, when possible.

Job responsibilities:

  • Join a leading global financial services firm

  • Interact with different areas of the bank, including Compliance, Credit, Legal, Operations, Product, Risk, Bankers.

  • Collect and review data for pipeline and market reports, tracking closed deals for revenue reporting purposes and ensuring accuracy of management information.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Graduated on Industrial, Civil or Commercial Engineering.

  • Advanced English level

  • Knowledge of MS Office package

JP Morgan - Equity Strategy Intern

About the job

Persuade graduate students with a bachelor in Industrial or Commercial Engineering with no experience or less than one year of experience in Equity Research. The candidate will join the Southern Cone & Andean Equity Research team, which is responsible for generating the advisory opinion regarding the equity markets in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru. The position requires that the candidate actively participates in the definition of the strategy view of the equity markets from the countries covered. One of the main functions will be to generate discussion and debate from a top-down point of view of the equity market; considering as well the bottom-up analysis of specific stocks and their investment opportunities. It's required for the candidate to have analytic abilities, as well as a fair knowledge on company valuation. The candidate must show commercial skills to support the relationship with institutional clients that operate with JP Morgan.

 

The main objective of the trainee program is to potentiate the candidate's skills and abilities to later become part of our firm, when possible.

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate students with 0 to 1 year of experience in a related area

  • Bachelor in Industrial or Commercial Engineering

  • Academic training in the principals of accounting, corporate finance, capital markets products, and macro economics

  • Proficient quantitative and analytical skills, including PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
