 Lo que harás día a día

  • Colaborar con equipos internos internacionales en todas las unidades de negocio y países, alineando información y mensajes estratégicos.

  • Diseñar y preparar materiales estratégicos que reflejen la visión y desempeño del Grupo, combinando análisis riguroso con creatividad visual y narrativa clara.

  • Analizar, estructurar y comunicar información clave financiera, comercial y de negocio, para presentaciones a inversionistas, resultados trimestrales, los reportes anuales, conferencias y roadshows internacionales.

  • Apoyar la comunicación digital del área (presentaciones, sitio web IR, dashboards, comunicados), aportando creatividad y enfoque orientado al público financiero global.

  • Apoyar la coordinación de reuniones y conferencias con inversionistas y analistas de diferentes regiones, garantizando una experiencia profesional y efectiva.

  • Monitorear el mercado y la competencia regional e internacional, generando análisis comparativos y tendencias relevantes para la gestión de inversionistas.

 

 Requisitos

  • Inglés avanzado o bilingüe (oral y escrito).

  • Formación en Ingeniería Comercial, Ingeniería Civil Industrial, Economía o afín.

  • Interés o especialización en finanzas, comunicación corporativa o mercados de capitales.

  • Experiencia de al menos 1 año, o prácticas relevantes, en finanzas, consultoría o en áreas corporativas de empresas, idealmente con exposición a análisis financiero o estratégico

  • Manejo sólido de Excel y de herramientas de presentación y visualización

  • Disponibilidad para formato híbrido 4x1 (cuatro días presenciales, uno remoto)

Job Description

The Junior Analyst (Seasonal Intern) position offers a rewarding learning opportunity for undergraduates to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become integral members of Goldman Sachs’ project and client teams.

Junior Analysts participate in many aspects of financial transactions, mainly in Latin America. They also gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry. Within this environment, ideas are continuously shared and creative thinking and individual initiative are encouraged. Working with teams of professionals at all levels who serve as both instructors and mentors, junior analysts develop important analytical and communication skills by participating in various transactions across a wide range of companies and industries.

Typical responsibilities include developing models, gathering and analyzing data to understand industry trends and to value companies, preparing presentations and memoranda for clients, and participating in client meetings and internal presentations.

Financial Analyst Consultant - Infrastructure & Energy - IDB Invest

Location

The position can be based in any of the following cities: Buenos Aires (Argentina), São Paulo (Brazil), Santiago de Chile (Chile), Asuncion (Paraguay) or Montevideo (Uruguay).

About this position

The Infrastructure and Energy Division (IEN), part of the Industries and Cross-Cutting Themes Department, leads the development and delivery of operations in transport, water and sanitation, energy, and social infrastructure across all regions.

The Southern Cone Division (RSC), part of the Regions Department, is responsible for managing business and client engagement from a country perspective within its member countries. It also provides oversight to the Country Representatives of the IDB’s Vice Presidency for Countries and to the Heads of Delivery Units at IDB Invest.

The Delivery Units are responsible for: (i) establishing and maintaining client relationships, (ii) building pipeline through upstream project and sector development, (iii) transaction execution through the incorporation of multiple financial products including loans, guarantees, debt capital markets, equity and quasi-equity instruments, as well as resource mobilization and technical cooperation and (iv) acting as the center of institutional knowledge and expertise for the sectors covered by the Division.

You will report to the Director of the Delivery Unit that has a dual-reporting structure to both the Managing Director of the Infrastructure & Energy Division (IEN) and the Southern Cone Division (RSC).

What you’ll do

The consultant's scope of activities shall include, but not be limited to, providing support for the identification, appraisal, structuring, negotiation, closing, disbursement, and monitoring of infrastructure and energy projects, mostly structured as limited recourse project finance transactions in the sectors listed above. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Project Origination

  • Prepare marketing materials: teasers, financial proposals, and presentations to prospective clients.

  • Conduct industry and market research and assist investment Officers in business development efforts, including research relative to prospective projects and sponsors, gather and review relevant market and financial data. data and help with the preparation of operations summaries and preliminary desk evaluations of potential projects.

  • Build and maintain quality client relationships to ensure responsive client service and to improve new business opportunities.

    2. Structuring Process

  • Prepare terms of reference and lead the selection of external consulting firms (independent engineers, market consultants, insurance consultants, tax & financial model consultants, etc.) that support the investment team in the appraisal of project finance operations.

  • Work with other team members and the external consulting firms to perform the due diligence process of the transactions.

  • Participate in negotiations with clients to gather necessary technical, legal, economic, and financial information. Information is assigned to assess the merits of potential lending or equity investment projects.

  • Create, review, and/or adapt financial models and prepare sensitivity analyses required in connection with the credit assessment of the transactions.

  • Review and analyze historical and projected financial data statements and perform financial Analyses for project finance transactions and/or corporate financing.

  • Assist Investment Officers in the preparation of documentation for IDB Invest's internal approval processes.

  • Maintain the internal system updated.

  • Support the Financial Closing Process.

  • Assist Investment Officers during the closing process of the transactions.

  • Assist with financial closings and disbursements for approved lending and investment projects by assisting with the verification that clients comply with all contractual conditions. 

What you'll need

•    Education: At least a Bachelor's or equivalent degree with specialization/major in finance, accounting, business administration, or economics. Master's degree or MBA will be considered a plus. 

•    Experience: Between 2 and 4 years of progressive experience in a financial institution or in the finance department of a private sector company, in particular in energy, transport, social infrastructure, water, and sanitation sectors. 

•    Languages:  Proficiency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese is required.

Requirements

•    Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay or Uruguay or with residency or legal permit to work in any of these countries.

•    Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
